GrocrAI Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 22, 2026

GrocrAI is a family meal-planning app made by GrocrAI (Nashville, Tennessee). This policy explains what the app collects, where it goes, and what you control. Questions: bret.babcock@gmail.com.

The short version

What the app stores on your device

This data is kept in the app's local database on your phone. Deleting the app deletes it.

What leaves your device, and why

Our server (hosted on Render in the United States) receives requests from the app to do the following. It does not keep an account for you and does not store your meal plans or lists, except as noted under Household Sync.

Household Sync (optional). If you pair devices, your meal plans, lists, and member profiles are stored on our server so the other paired phone can read them. Each device holds its own token; the server keeps a hashed copy. You can see and remove paired devices in the app, and "Stop syncing" revokes the device on the server. Sync data is not end-to-end encrypted. Ages and dietary details of family members are included in what syncs, so pair only with devices in your household.

Kroger's own privacy policy governs your Kroger account. Connecting Kroger in the app shows Kroger's consent screen, and you can disconnect at any time from Profile.

What we do not do

Children

Family profiles may include children's names, ages, and dietary needs, entered by a parent or guardian. That information stays on your device unless you turn on Household Sync. The app is intended for use by adults managing a household.
